March 17 looks very interesting as far as Bollywood movie releases are concerned. There are films on some very interesting subjects are set to release this month. The audience will also get to see actresses like Anushka Sharma, Esha Gupta, Taapsee Pannu amongst others in a never seen before avatar. Trust us, you will find it difficult to choose between the many Bollywood film releases that are lined up for March 2017. The month starts with Commando 2 and Badrinath Ki Dulhania – two sequels of earlier hit films Commando and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. March will also see the big screen comeback of Govinda with his film Aa Gaya Hero.

Trapped and Anaarkali of Araah – though not big on star value, have interesting story lines to keep the audience entertained. Next, Phillauri that sees Anushka Sharma play a friendly ghost, is one of the most anticipated films of the month. The Bollywood film release slate for March 2017 will end with Naam Shabana, the prequel to Baby that starred Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu. In this one, the Pink and Running Shaadi actress will be seen in an action avatar and bets on this one are high too.

Esha Gupta and Adah Sharma will be seen playing his leading ladies in the film and will also be seen kicking some butt! The slice of life entertainer has action, comedy, romance and is starts its journey from a small town in Rajasthan. Apart from being majorly filmed in Mumbai and New York, the film has been shot in around 200 locations across the world.

Both the films star Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in lead roles and producer Karan Johar has already hinted towards a third installment. The film has been extensively shot in Kota in Rajasthan. Both Varun and Alia, who made their Bollywood debuts together in Student of the Year have shared a great bond ever since. They share a great comfort level and that translates well onto the screen. Badrinath Ki Dulhania is one of the most awaited films of March 2017. The film also has a reprised version of Tamma Tamma, originally filmed on Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit and has already received rave reviews.

The film is a typical Bollywood masala film and marks Govinda’s comeback on the big screen. The story has been penned by the actor himself and he says the role is something he has never been seen in before. While he is promising a fun affair to his audience, buzz is not really great on this one.

The film premiered at the Mumbai Film Festival in October and received a standing ovation.

How will he be able to get rid of this ghost? Will she spell trouble for him and his family? The film’s story aims at highlighting the various superstitious that are still prevalent in India. The film has been making news ever since the trailers hit the internet. Phillauri also made headlines post reports that Anushka’s boyfriend Virat Kohli has ghost produced the film. These reports didn’t go down well with the actress who then took to Twitter and Instagram to lash out at media for spreading such baseless rumours and doubting her ability of being efficient enough to fund her own projects.

She is confident that nothing can stop her from achieving success and living a life of her dream. However, her plans are foiled post a confrontation, followed by a conflict with a powerful man of the region. The film made headlines recently when Kamal R Khan took to twitter to express his expert opinions about the film’s story and poster. More recently, the trailer of the film Anarkali of Arrah was under fire in Bihar’s Bhojpur. The bone of contention was an item number which is shot in the background of the silver jubilee functions of the local Veer Kunwar Singh University (VKSU).

The university has demanded that the song be removed from the film since it is depicting the university as a platform for the lewd and the bawdy.
