Zonanesia - Musik alternative adalah musik yang bebas tanpa batasan-batasan yang harus aransemen begini, vokal begitu, distorsi begono, dll. Ada beberapa pendapat yang mengatakan bahwa musik alternative merupakan perpaduan dari Pop, Rock, Jazz (Fusion), yang beatnya tidak keras, tapi tidak lembut juga.
Sejarah : Rock Alternative atau hanya Alternative adalah aliran musik rock yang muncul pada tahun 1980-an dan menjadi sangat populer pada tahun 1990. Nama “alternatif” ditemukan pada tahun 1980 untuk mendeskripsikan band-band punk rock yang tidak sesuai dengan aliran punk rock pada masanya. Sebagai jenis musik yang spesifik, rock alternatif mempunyai sub-aliran yang bervariasi, dari musik indie yang bermulai pada tahun 1980 dan menjadi populer pada tahun 1990; seperti indie rock, grunge, gothic rock, dan college rock. Aliran-aliran tersebut terkonsolidasi dengan ciri khasnya masing-masing. Walaupun aliran alternatif terhitung sebagai aliran rock, tapi beberapa sub-alirannya terpengaruh oleh musik rakyat, reggae, musik elektronik, dan jazz.
